From 4th November to 4th December 2004

Michael Schwill
„Der Mandarin“ (“Mandarin”)

… an exhibition that impresses with most intensive and expressive colourfulness, a colour application, foreboding that the paintings are subject to a partly long lasting artistic self-questioning and revision, a figurativeness that becomes visible only little by little out of an alleged, meaningless picture, however never gets complete, more likely contains an anticipation, a gesture, a sentiment, a memory or a body movement within and so triggers yet a whole flood of associations …

I am very pleased to be able to showcase these works to you.

Exhibition opening:
Thursday, 4th November 2004, 7.30 p.m.

The artist’s first catalogue of works is published for the exhibition.
